<p><strong>Now, if you&#8217;d like to quit smoking once and for all, it&#8217;s important that you consider these 5 tips to get you started:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Small goals</strong>: In order to quit smoking, it&#8217;s so important to set goals. If you try to quit in one day not only will you be frustrated, but you will also feel disappointed because that goal is almost impossible to reach if you&#8217;re truly addicted. So, like anything, you must work your way towards quitting. Like being able to run a marathon, you can&#8217;t train in a day. So, allow yourself time and try to set realistic goals to follow so that you feel motivated and accomplished once you&#8217;ve reached them.</p>
<p><strong>Positive attitude: </strong>Just like anything in life, you need to have a positive attitude or you will find that the little things in life will bring you down. So, if you&#8217;ve had a goal to avoid smoking for 5 hours straight and you gave in and smoked anyways, don&#8217;t beat yourself up. Instead, keep a positive attitude and say, there is always next time and one day I will be able to avoid smoking for 5 hours and even longer one day.</p>
<p><strong>Create good habits:</strong> In order to quit smoking, you must find something to replace your cigarettes with. Whether you run instead of smoke because you&#8217;re <a title="stressed" href="http://www.webmd.com/balance/stress-management/stress-management-topic-overview">stressed</a> or you chew gum when you have a craving, there is always something better to do than to smoke a cigarette, even when you crave it the most.</p>
<p><strong>Consider friends:</strong> Smoking is often something that is done to pass time as we&#8217;re hanging out and talking with friends. Though our mind may not even be conscious that we smoke every time we hang out with certain people, our body is. So, if you find that you smoke around certain people, try to tell them you&#8217;re quitting so that way they will smoke less in front of you and encourage you to quit instead of pick another one. True friends will care about you and will want you to be able to break your bad habits.</p>
<p><strong>Save money: </strong>When it comes to setting goals that are healthy, it&#8217;s never silly to save money for them. For example, a bag of chips may be a lot cheaper than fresh fruit, but the extra money spent is being spent on a much wiser choice. This example is also true when it comes to cigarettes. If you&#8217;d like to try a program for support in helping you break your bad habit, try to use the money you would spend on cigarettes and spend it on support instead. It is never silly to spend or even save money on trying to get help in making you become a better and healthier person. In the end, you may actually save a lot of money by being able to quit smoking, not having to buy cigarettes and pay less by going to the doctors so frequently.</p>
