Ingredients

Formula one contains over 25 ingredients including:Vitamin C, Iron, Iodine, sodium, alfalfa leaf, licorice root, Siberian ginseng root, cayenne pepper, dandelion root, Echinacea purpurea, ginger root, peppermint leaf, sarsaparilla root, buckthron bark, burdock root, Hyssop, lobelia, passion flower, cascara sagrada, Oregon grape root, barley grass, bayberry bark, Golden seal, lemon verbena, oxbile extract, safflower seed oil, elderberry fruit extract, bioprene black pepper extract.

The formula 2 contains almost all the formula one ingredients plus an additional 11 other ingredients. While the homeopathic pellets actually contain tobacco among it’s ingredients.

There are a couple of things to note about the ingredients first, the product contains sodium for the purpose of keeping a person hydrated but, turns around and uses dandelion root a known diuretic. In addition the inclusion of sodium in this product may make it unusable for people who retain water especially those with congestive heart failure. The other thing to note is that of all the ingredients contained in this product there is only one ingredient that will serve to help calm the irritability, anxiety, and anger that quitting sometimes causes. This would seem insufficient for helping smokers deal with this troubling side effect.

In addition the official site for this product states the product is nicotine free yet, the pellets contain tobacco.

Clinical Studies

The official website offers no clinical studies that this product can live up to the products claims that it can help smokers quit smoking. In fact, this same product used to make claims that the product was better than patches or gum and that it could help people quit within 7 days permanently. The official website no longer makes these claims since they lost a 1.3 million dollar law suit in 2005 for making these claims and then being unable to prove that any of them were true.

Testimonials

There are several testimonials on the site all claiming that smoke away works and stating how easy it was to to quit using this product.

Unbiased Reviews

Depending on what site you look at, the reviews for Smoke away rate this product between 2 ½ stars to 4 stars. Interestingly enough most of the positive reviews stated that the user was using this product again having found it helped them quit the first time and so felt it would help them quit again. While these positive reviews for this product were glowing the fact that many of these users went back to smoking indicates that perhaps this product is not as effective at helping people kick the habit as they would have you believe. The negative reviews on the other hand state that not only did this product not work for them but, many users were billed for other products they never received nor ordered and that despite the company having a money back guarantee they were unable to get their money back.

Pros of Smoke Away

  • It contains herbs and vitamins and other natural ingredients
  • The official site does offer testimonials

Cons Of Smoke Away

  • This product gets many mixed reviews
  • There is no ingredient list offered on the website leaving potential customers to search the web for a list of ingredients
  • This company has been sued for making false claims about the product
  • Several users complained about being charged for products they never ordered or received.

Conclusion

While this product may help some smokers to quit smoking even the positive reviews indicate that smokers using this product go back to smoking after having “successfully quit” and it simply doesn’t work for other users. In addition based on the number of complaints regarding extra charges to users bills for unordered products this simply doesn’t seem like a company most customers would want to deal with especially as there are other cease smoking products out there that have proven themselves to be effective.
